Sold both as a 100% active product and 85% aqueous solution (Lutensol XP 89). It has very fast dynamics and excellent detergency on oily soils. Even, when used in low levels, can boost the degreasing power of the detergent without reducing the foam. It has a HLB of 14 and a cloud point of 56 °C. Very fast wetting and effective cleaning. Readily biodegradable. It has a lower tendency to form gel compared to longer chain alcohol ethoxylates. Listed on EPA’s Safer Chemical Ingredients List. Final surfactant choice would be formulation dependent.
